We all know the one and only Jeremy Renner as the superhero Hawkeye. But in the new series Rennervations on Disney+, we get to see the man behind the bow and arrow, and, boy, is he amazing!
Rennervations is all about Renner renovating decommissioned government vehicles into “mind-blowing creations” for organizations that serve children. It’s like Pimp My Ride, but for a great cause! His love for buying and renovating these vehicles is what drives the show, and we get to see him in his element. With his trusty sidekick Rory Millikin, along with his team of fabricators, engineers, and designers, watching them transform these vehicles into something amazing is nothing less than a marvel of a feat! It’s amazing to see their vision slowly come to life and bring happiness to the kids they’re serving.
In the first two episodes alone, the team built a mobile music studio for The BASE Chicago organization out of an old tour bus and remade a delivery truck into a water treatment facility for school kids in India. It’s somewhat gratifying seeing how their vision slowly turns into reality and then seeing the happiness in the kids when the final product is presented to them. While all this is going on, we get to know a little more about Renner and his team as they share intimate details about their lives and hopes.
But that’s not all! Renner also enlists the help of his celebrity friends to join him on this journey. Vanessa Hudgens, Sebastian Yatra, Anil Kapoor, and fellow Avenger Anthony Mackie all make appearances in the show. It’s great to see them all coming together for a good cause.
The show is not just about renovating vehicles, though. We get to know a little more about Renner and his team as they share intimate details about their lives and hopes with some humourous camaraderie moments sprinkled in. It’s a heartwarming touch that adds to the show’s charm.
