‘She-Hulk’ Casts Josh Segarra In A Mystery Role

Josh Segarra has reportedly been cast on Disney+’s upcoming Marvel series She-Hulk in an undisclosed role.  Though it isn’t known who he is playing on She-Hulk, Segarra has experience with comic book TV, having played Adrian Chase/Prometheus on Arrow in a regular role in Season 5 and popping back up in Seasons 6 and 8.

Segarra will next appear on HBO Max’s The Other Two, premiering on August 26. He was most recently seen as Marco on the FOX comedy The Moodys and as Special Agent Nestor Vertiz on CBS’ drama F.B.I. His other TV credits include Sirens, Chicago P.D., Orange is the New Black, and A.J. and the Queen, as well as in the Dolly Parton Netflix film Christmas on the Square.

She-Hulk is described as a half-hour legal comedy. It was developed for TV by Jessica Gao (Rick & Morty) who also serves as head writer. Kat Coiro (It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia) and Anu Valia (Awkwafina is Nora From Queens) are set to direct. There will be ten episodes in the first season, and this was created as an ongoing series, so like Captain America and the Winter Soldier and Loki, expect additional seasons beyond the first.

Tatiana Maslany stars as Jennifer Walters, The Hulk’s cousin, who gains a portion of his superpowers after an emergency blood transfusion (at least in the comics). Mark Ruffalo will reprise his role as Bruce Banner/The Hulk, along with Eli Roth, who portrayed Emil Blonski/The Abomination, the role he originated in 2008’s The Incredible Hulk (which featured Edward Norton’s one and only appearance as Banner/Hulk). The Abomination will appear next in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.

In addition, She-Hulk stars: Renée Elise Goldsberry as a character that MIGHT be Patsy Walker, the comic book character also known as Hellcat; Ginger Gonzaga as “Jennifer’s best friend,” who may be Jill Stevens, a character from She-Hulk’s first comic series; and Jameela Jamil as the supervillain Titania/Mary MacPherran. The latest RUMOR is that She-Hulk will also face off against the Wrecking Crew. (I suppose it’s possible that Josh Segarra could be playing one of them.)  There is also a RUMOR that rapper Megan Thee Stallion will appear as herself, one of Jen’s celebrity clients.

It hasn’t been announced when She-Hulk will debut, but it will likely arrive on Disney+ next year.  Check back for updates!
