After more than a year, Marvel’s Phase Four finally starts this summer first up, Black Widow in July. But it’s the next film, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings that has fans buzzing right now. They’re buzzing about the new trailer that just dropped.
The trailer shows off some amazing action, paired with some serious family drama, with that trademark Marvel blend of humor. It also features a surprise cameo or two. Check it out below.
The trailer shows off some amazing visuals and a talented cast. Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, the film features Simu Liu, Akwafina, Tony Leung, Michelle Yeoh, and Florian Munteanu. But what really got fans talking was the surprise cameos of the Incredible Hulk (2008) film villain, Abomination, squaring off against Sorcerer Supreme Sidekick Wong (Benedict Wong) in a superpowered cage match.
But it’s the personal drama that drives the story. David Callaham’s screenplay taps into the history of the character. Created by Jim Starlin and Steve Englehart in 1973, Shang-Chi first appeared in Special Marvel Edition #15.
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings opens in theaters on September 3, 2021.
