New ‘She-Hulk’ Clip For Disney+ Day Shows Transformation Of Jennifer Walters

The new logo for the Disney+ series "She-Hulk."

Friday, November 12, was a huge day for comic book fans, especially those excited for the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. That day, dubbed Disney+ Day, we got our first looks at what Disney and Marvel Studios have on their plates as far as streaming entertainment goes. We’ve already seen a plethora of videos and stills for the upcoming Hawkeye series and have gotten a ton of insight into next year’s Moon Knight. But one show that we haven’t seen much from is She-Hulk. Thankfully, Disney+ Day delivered on that front, providing a new live-action clip and a sleek, new logo.

The clip was included in a montage to promote some of Disney+’s popular shows, like WandaVision and Loki, while showcasing some of the upcoming series and is streaming exclusively on Disney+. It has since made its way over to YouTube, where anyone can watch it.

The clip itself is short, only about 19 seconds, and most of it was spent showing the viewer the mundane life of Jennifer Walters. Walters is a successful New York City attorney and also the cousin of the Hulk. And the clip shows us just how those two worlds collide.

Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) explains to his cousin Jennifer Walters (Tatiana Maslany) how the Hulk transformation occurs in a still from the Disney+ series "She-Hulk."

Tatiana Maslany takes up the mantle of Walters/She-Hulk, and Mark Ruffalo reprises his role as the Hulk. More specifically, the role of Professor Hulk as we saw him in Avengers Endgame. The 19-second clip shows Maslany transforming into the green-skinned hero, donning the familiar white-and-purple bodysuit.

Not much is known about the series just yet. However, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige stated last year that the show will be a half-hour legal comedy. There has also been some speculation that the show will break the fourth wall, which is an aspect of the character that was showcased throughout her original comic book series. How well that will translate into a television series is anyone’s guess, but it could be fun to see.

On top of that, we know that Tim Roth will appear in the series as the Abomination, a character who recently returned in 2021’s Shang Chi and the Legends of the Ten Rings. Also appearing is Jameela Jamil as She-Hulk antagonist Titania. Jamil is most recognizable as Tahani Al-Jamil from NBC’s The Good Place. Her inclusion in the series is a good indicator that the show will be a true comedy.

There is currently no premiere date for She-Hulk, but it is expected to hit Disney+ sometime in 2022.
