After months of waiting, Marvel Studios is finally giving fans our first look at the latest film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings. While the name of the film is certainly a mouthful, Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings is going to give viewers plenty to talk about as it expands the Marvel Cinematic Universe into a world seldom explored by western culture in such depth.

The star of the film, actor Simu Liu, is celebrating his birthday today in style with the premiere of Shang-Chi‘s first poster on his social media pages. Marvel also took the opportunity to release the first teaser trailer for the film this morning, which will certainly only add to the already growing hype for the film. It seems like Marvel has given their latest star quite the birthday gift this year! You can check out the trailer and the poster below!

Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings is the twenty-fifth film (yes really) set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The film stars Simu Liu as Shang-Chi, who is described as someone that “must confront the past he thought he left behind when he is drawn into the web of the mysterious Ten Rings organization“.

Fans can also look forward to finally meeting Tony Leung as Wenwu, better known as the real Mandarin; a character that was first formally alluded to back in 2014’s “All Hail The King” short. It should certainly be interesting to see how they utilize the mysterious character who has been teased as far back as the first Iron Man film in 2008!

Michelle Yeoh is also making her second appearance in the MCU, although she is playing the character Jiang Nan this time around. Yeoh previously portrayed Aleta Ogord in Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2, which was a very brief character cameo appearance. Rounding out the film’s cast we have Awkwafina, Fala Chen, Meng’er Zhang, Florian Munteanu, and Ronny Chieng.
