Believe it.  He’s back.  It’s destiny.

Indiana Jones returns to the big screen next summer. Harrison Ford returns to the role for the fifth time, over a decade since he last played the adventuring archeologist. Disney showed off the trailer at their panel at CCXP (The Comic Con Experience in São Paulo, Brazil). Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, as we learned it would be called, arrives in theatres June 30, 2023. Check out the full trailer for Indiana Jones 5 below!

After being bought by Disney back in 2012, Dial of Destiny marks the first feature-length production the Mouse House has produced with Lucasfilm. This will also be the first time Steven Speilberg and George Lucas will not be directly involved with the making of an Indiana Jones film. (Both still serve as Executive Producers.) Logan director James Mangold helms the film from a screenplay by Jez and John-Henry Butterworth (Edge of Tomorrow, Ford v Ferrari). John Williams, however, will return to compose the film’s score.

There hasn’t been an official synopsis yet, but Empire Online reported the sequel, which moves the action to 1969, features Indy facing off with a new generation of Nazis led by Mads Mikkelsen and getting involved with the moon landing.

The film also features John Rhys-Davies, who returns to play Sallah, alongside Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Fleabag) as Helena. Helena is Indy’s goddaughter. She’s probably the daughter of long-time Indy friend and benefactor Marcus Brody. (Brody was played by the late Denholm Elliot in the first three Indy films.) Also in the cast are Antonio Banderas, Toby Jones, Shaunette Renne Wilson, Oliver Richters, Thomas Kretschmann, Boyd Holbrook, and Ethann Isidore.
