While it was never a big part of their story in the comics, the Marvel Cinematic Universe gave us a beautiful mentor relationship between longtime hero Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) and youthful rookie Spider-Man (Tom Holland). Some would even go as far as to say that the pair’s relationship became the heart of the MCU for the majority of Phase 3 until Iron Man died in Avengers: Endgame (2019). The bond of friendship between Tony and Peter was a strong one. So it only makes sense that this would find a way to continue in other parts of the Marvel Multiverse. Perhaps in an animated series?
Marvel and Disney Junior are bringing Iron Man back into the fantastic world of Spider-Man in their hit animated series Spidey And His Amazing Friends! To make things even better, they have announced that television icon John Stamos (Full House) has been tapped to voice the legendary Marvel hero. While Stamos has had an extensive television career, this is the first time he will be doing voice work for an animated television series.
Iron Man is joined by other Avengers heroes like Reptil (Hoku Ramirez), Ant-Man (Sean Giambrone), and The Wasp (Maya Tuttle). They will face off against several new villains like Electro (Stephanie Lemelin), Sandman (Tom Wilson), and Black Cat (Jaiden Klein).

Season 2 of Spidey And His Amazing Friends is swinging to Disney Junior this August! The series follows the adventures of Peter Parker (Benjamin Valic), Gwen Stacy (Lily Sanfelippo), and Miles Morales (Jakari Fraser). The complete first season is currently available for streaming on Disney+, for those who still need to catch up on this kid-friendly version of everyone’s favorite wall-crawler!
