There’s a new mind-bending clip from the upcoming Marvel Studios and Disney+ show Moon Knight that comes with a reminder that this series is going to be horror-filled in its world of superheroes.

Oscar Isaac stars as Steven Grant, a former U.S. Marine struggling with Dissociative Identity Disorder. In the clip, Steven Grant finds himself pursued by a creepy monstrosity into an elevator. Understandably, he’s shaken but is this pursuit all in his mind? Upon a second look, the thing that follows him in is… a little ol’ lady?

Buckle up, folks, things are about to get weird!

According to Disney+:

Moon Knight follows Steven Grant, a mild-mannered gift-shop employee, who becomes plagued with blackouts and memories of another life. Steven discovers he has dissociative identity disorder and shares a body with mercenary Marc Spector. As Steven/Marc’s enemies converge upon them, they must navigate their complex identities while thrust into a deadly mystery among the powerful gods of Egypt.

The new series should please many fans of the Moon Knight comic. In a press release, executive producer Grant Curtis exclaims:

We’re absolutely embracing the supernatural aspects of what was in publishing, the Egyptian gods, this ruthless Egyptian god Khonshu that manipulates Marc to do his bidding. We’re embracing all that. We love stuff that goes bump in the night.

From the early reactions of the series, it does look like the series has done a great job of carrying the comic’s dark tone into the series while also keeping some of its humor. The clip alone proves just that!

Along with Isaac, Moon Knight stars F. Murray Abraham, Ethan Hawke, Arthur Harrow, Gaspard Ulliel, May Calamawy, Loic Mabanza, and Lucy Thackeray. The six-episode series will debut on Disney+ on March 31.
