Marvel has a holiday treat for fans… the first two episodes of Hawkeye, which are dropping on Disney+ on Wednesday, November 24. While the series has a Christmas theme, the episodes will arrive in time for Thanksgiving, so pass the gravy and settle in!
There is some new footage in the latest trailer for the series, including another look at Ronin. Some figure this is a flashback to the time when Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner) operated under that identity and went to war with the underworld. But readers of the comics know that the character Echo also operated under the guise of Ronin as a member of the Avengers. Actually, Echo was Ronin FIRST, with Clint taking over the identity later. (Because he was dead when she first debuted.) Alaqua Cox will make her MCU debut on Hawkeye in the role of Maya Lopez/Echo (/Ronin?).
Hawkeye also stars Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop who will likely take up the mantle of “Hawkeye,” allowing Clint to retire to his farm to spend time with his family. Well… provided they both survive this series. (Just kidding! This looks like a lighthearted romp, so don’t expect too much darkness or death.)
In the new trailer, viewers get their introduction to Vera Farmiga as Kate’s mother Eleanor Bishop. Check it out below:

In addition to the new trailer, Disney+ has dropped this image of Renner, Steinfeld, and Lucky the Pizza Dog. With no context, there’s no clue as to what is happening in this picture, but Steinfeld’s Bishop looks upset.
