How I became a Superhero (2021) Trailer

The team at Netflix is looking to expand their audience’s horizons with the exclusive U.S. streaming release of the French superhero film How I Became a Superhero (Comment Je Suis Devenu Super Heros)! The Paris set film is a modern look at the superhero genre not unlike Amazon’s popular series The Boys. Also much like The Boys, the people in this world aren’t born with superpowers, but rather they obtain them through drug use.

As it is a French film, the dialogue is all in the film’s native French language. Thankfully, for those of us who do not speak French, there are English subtitles. How I Became a Superhero (Comment Je Suis Devenu Super Heros) is both written and directed by Douglas Attal. The film stars Swann Arlaud, Pio Marmaï, Vimala Pons, Leila Bekhti, Farid Afifi, and Mehdi Boudina. How I Became a Superhero (Comment Je Suis Devenu Super Heros) is set to premiere on Netflix on July 9, 2021. Check out the trailer below!

Tom and Jerry In New York (TV Series) Trailer

The classic cat and mouse duo of Tom And Jerry are back with an all-new animated series that is coming to HBO Max this summer! The new show, titled Tom And Jerry In New York, will feature the iconic frenemies’ latest adventures in the city that never sleeps!

While it was only announced in recent weeks that the new animated series would hit HBO Max this July, we now have our first look at the upcoming show with the first series trailer! The series synopsis is as follows:

Everybody’s favorite animated Cat & Mouse have moved to the big city, where Tom is the resident mouser at the 5-star Royal Gate Hotel and Jerry is the up-to-no-good resident mouse. In the first batch of new episodes, Tom and Jerry invade a department store after dark, Jerry helps an elephant hiding in a museum exhibit escape Tom, and hi-flying hijinks ensue when Tom and Jerry go kiting in the park. These and more chaotic misadventures are in store for the iconic frenemies as they continue their wild cat and mouse chase through New York City’s concrete jungle!

If that story sounds familiar, it is because it pretty directly mimics the plot of the recent Tom And Jerry movie that dropped on HBO Max earlier this year. But that’s fine because it also gives an entire new generation of viewers a chance to meet these timeless characters who first hit the screen back in 1940! Tom And Jerry In New York also looks to be bringing in several other fan-favorite characters from the older Tom And Jerry series, including Spike the bulldog, Tom’s love interest Toodles Galore, and Butch the alley cat.

Tom And Jerry In New York is officially set to premiere on July 1, 2021, on the HBO Max subscription streaming service. Check the new trailer below!

Wellington Paranormal (TV Series) Trailer

Fans of Taika Waititi‘s What We Do In The Shadows vampire-mockumentary franchise will be excited to hear that after several years of waiting, the original film spinoff series Wellington Paranormal is finally coming to the U.S.! The show follows two of the police officers who we first met in the WWDITS movie as they investigate the paranormal happenings in Wellington, New Zealand. The show has already aired three seasons (and a holiday special!) in New Zealand but is set to make its U.S. debut this July.

Each episode of Wellington Paranormal will first air on The CW for their broadcast debut before making the jump to both the HBO Max subscription streaming service and The CW’s online ad-supported platforms the next day. Much like the film it spins off from (and the television series that shares the same name as the film; What We Do In The Shadows), Wellington Paranormal was created by Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi. The series regular cast includes Mike Minogue, Karen O’Leary (who are both reprising their roles from the original film), and Maaka Pohatu.

Wellington Paranormal will be premiering on The CW network on July 11, 2021. Check out the trailer below!

Settlers (2021) Trailer

If you’re itching for a new sci-fi western-style adventure then look no further than Settlers! This project is the first feature from up-and-coming writer/director Wyatt Rockefeller that tells the story of a refugee family from Earth that has set up a remote homestead on the Martian frontier with dreams of a better future. Unfortunately, things aren’t so easy on Mars. Strangers appear from the surrounding hillside and try to run them off of their newfound home.

Settlers stars Brooklynn Prince, Sofia Boutella, Jonny Lee Miller, Ismael Cruz Córdova, and Nell Tiger Free. The film is being released both in theaters and for streaming on demand on July 23, 2021, through IFC Midnight. Check out the trailer below!

Trollhunters: Rise Of The Titans (2021) Trailer

Oscar-winning director Guillermo Del Toro has brought us our first look at the latest chapter in his Tales Of Arcadia series, the feature-length movie Trollhunters: Rise Of The Titans. Much like the rest of the Tales Of Arcadia series, Trollhunters: Rise Of The Titans is both executive produced and co-written by Del Toro in association with Netflix and Dreamworks Animation.

This all-new movie is meant to tie together, and potentially wrap up, the stories that began across the Emmy-winning Tales Of Arcadia trilogy of animated series; Trollhunters, 3Below, and Wizards. Our heroes from the Trollhunters series are teaming up to fight the Arcane Order for control over the magic that binds the world of Arcadia together in an animated adventure you surely won’t want to miss!

Trollhunters: Rise Of The Titans features a massive voice cast that is jam-packed with A-list talent including Emile Hirsch, Steven Yeun, Nick Frost, Kelsey Grammer, Charlie Saxton, Lexi Medrano, Alfred Molina, Diego Luna, Nick Offerman, James Hong, Brian Blessed, Tom Kenny, Grey Griffin, Colin O’Donoghue, Cole Sand, Tatiana Maslany, Kay Bess, Fred Tatasciore, Piotr Michael, Amy Landecker, Angel Lin, Jonathan Hyde, Laraine Newman, Bebe Wood, and Cheryl Hines.

This new chapter of the Tales Of Arcadia series is set to premiere on the Netflix subscription streaming service on July 21, 2021. Check out the trailer below!

Each of the three films will be directed by Leigh Janiak and will be set during different eras of time in the town of Shadyside, spanning from the 1600s to the 1970s and 1990s.
