2021 has certainly been a great year for Marvel fans in terms of new content. Disney+ finally got to premiere some of their long-awaited shows, postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic of 2020, and fans have been gobbling them up. So far, we’ve gotten WandaVision, a show that redefined some cornerstone Avengers characters, and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, which filled the void left by the exit of another big-name superhero. Soon, fans will get to see Loki and the hijinks he has in store when Loki starts airing on June 9th. And later this summer, we’ll be able to explore different takes on famous situations of the MCU when the highly anticipated What If…? premieres. And though What If…? has been kept under tight wraps, what with the studio withholding some of the show’s premises from fans, it seems that one episode has had its premise spoiled from a very unlikely source: Lego.

To be fair, it wasn’t the building block company that spoiled the episode, but instead, the news was leaked by Amazon France, of all places.

Spoilers below for those who want to remain pure.

The set in question, which has since been removed from Amazon, is called Tony Stark’s Sakaarian Iron Man and seems to ask “What if… Tony Stark was trapped on Sakaar instead of the Hulk?” which would be a send-up of the events of Thor: Ragnarok. It seems the plot of the episode revolves around Tony Stark building an Iron Man suit from trash found around Sakaar, judging by the design of the Hulkbuster and the box art. The suit can also be rebuilt into a racecar for… reasons. I guess as a callback to the race scene from Iron Man 2? Or maybe it has something to do with the upcoming What If…? episode instead. I’m not really sure, but I guess we’ll find out.

Check out the images of the set, provided by Lego:

While I’m not crazy about the design of the suit, I do like the mini-figures that come with this set. In addition to a little Tony Stark in a cool t-shirt, the set also has a buzzcut Valkyrie and a tiny Uatu the Watcher. (For those uninitiated, Uatu is one of a race of cosmic beings called Watchers who witness important events through the universe and are sworn to never interfere. Uatu was the host, of sorts, of the “What If…?” comic book series and will play prominently in the upcoming show, voice by Jeffrey Wright.)

There is no release date yet for this particular Lego set but it’s probably safe to assume it will be available around the time What If…? premieres, which will be in mid-August.
