Marvel dropped an exclusive scene for Black Widow at the MTV Movie & TV Awards. The star of the long delayed superhero flick was honored during the event with the Generation Award. The award celebrates actors whose diverse contributions to both film and television have turned them into household names. The Black Widow actress joins an impressive list of stars with the award. Previous recipients including Marvel stars, Robert Downey Jr, and Chris Pratt.  Other winners include Sandra Bullock, Jim Carrey, Tom Cruise, Johnny Depp, Jamie Foxx, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Mike Myers, Adam Sandler, Will Smith, Mark Wahlberg, and Reese Witherspoon.

The scene features Johansson and Pugh being chased by an assassin on a motorcycle through busy traffic. The two trade quips while avoiding machine gun fire and other cars through a European city’s street. Check it out below.

In all, it was a big night for Marvel Studios. Maybe the M in MTV stands for Marvel now? (It sure isn’t music anymore!) On top of Johansson’s award, the studio won 6 other categories over the course of the evening. WandaVision won big. It took home the Golden Popcorn trophy for Best Show. Elizabeth Olsen won for Best Performance in a Series, and Kathryn Hahn won for Best Villain. The two also won Best Fight. Anthony Mackie won Best Hero for his role as Sam Wilson, a/k/a The Falcon a/k/a Captain America. The eponymous heroes of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier took home Best Duo.

Black Widow stars Johansson, with Florence Pugh, David Harbour, and Rachel Weisz. Directed by Cate Shortland and produced by Kevin Feige.

The film kicks off Marvel’s long delayed Phase 4. Originally expected back in May of 2020, and rescheduled 3 times due to the global pandemic, it finally arrives in theaters and Disney+ with Premier Access (in most markets) on July 9, 2021.
