A new teaser trailer for FX on Hulu’s anthology series American Horror Stories has leaked online. The series is something of a spin-off from the hit American Horror Story and was also created by Ryan Murphy. However, while American Horror Story features one story for each full season, American Horror Stories will feature a new tale in each episode.
As Murphy explained:
“We are doing 16 one hour stand alone episodes delving into horror myths, legends and lore…many of these episodes will feature AHS stars you know and love.”

Frequent Murphy star Sarah Paulson is attached to direct at least one episode, but it hasn’t been confirmed whether she will appear onscreen. Anjelica Huston and Frances Conroy are confirmed to star.
Paulson will also be starring in Murphy’s upcoming American Crime Story: Impeachment. Last year, she stated:
“The state of the world and California aren’t having their finest moments in dealing with this virus. Both productions will be shooting in Los Angeles. We were less than two weeks from starting Impeachment. I heard rumors of October, then 2021. A lot of rumors, no facts.”
In the meantime, AHS Season 10 is currently filming in Provincetown, Massachusets. Former AHS cast members Finn Wittrock and Adina Porter have been spotted filming, along with young newcomer Ryan Kiera Armstrong, who Murphy announced as part of the cast in November. Season 10 was supposed to film last summer to be released in the fall, as is the norm with this series, but that was scrapped due to COVID-19.
Presumably, Murphy will next produce either Impeachment or American Horror Stories, but since both are set to film in Los Angeles, which is still struggling with the coronavirus, it remains to be seen when either actually begins production.
American Horror Story will continue to air on FX, but American Horror Stories will be available exclusively on FX on Hulu, a hub on the Disney-owned streaming service. FX on Hulu already offers every original Hulu series including every season of American Horror Story.
