Dean Devlin created the series and serves as co-showrunner alongside Jonathan Glassner. Devlin has a history of producing and co-writing popular genre films and series such as Independence Day, Godzilla, and Stargate. Glassner, on the other hand, is known for his work on Stargate SG-1 and Falling Skies. Together, they co-produce The Outpost which is currently on the CW.
