‘She-Hulk’ Director Kat Coiro Is Pushing For A Movie Starring Madisynn “With Two N’s, One Y, But Not Where You Think”

Please make this happen.  Following the conclusion of the first season of She-Hulk: Attorney-At-Law, series director Kat Coiro is now championing a film featuring one of the legal comedy’s breakout guest characters — Madisynn, with two N’s, one Y, but it’s not where you think.  Patty Guggenheim portrayed this shallow magic victim in the show’s fourth episode, “Is This Not Real Magic?” in which she stumbled drunkenly onstage during a magic show by Donny Blaze (played by Rhys Coiro, who is married to Kat) and was teleported to a demonic dimension.

Madisynn became an instant viral sensation with fans meme-ing her into pictures with Josh Brolin’s Thanos, declaring that Madisynn, drink in hand, could have defeated Thanos all by herself.

Madisynn, as a character, initially came across as the typical self-absorbed, ditzy millennial who was always just a little bit tipsy, with a cocktail in her hand at all times, even when in court.  But throughout the episode, she revealed unexpected intelligence and charm that endeared her to viewers.  By the end of “Is This Not Real Magic?,” she and Wong (Benedict Wong) a.k.a. “Wongers,” had become BFFs, due to their mutual love of The Sopranos.

But refreshingly, even though Madisynn comes across as an airhead, her character was never the butt of a joke, and that seems to have endeared her to fans.

Kat Coiro explained:

“I have worked with Patty so many times, and when I brought her up for Madisynn, there was a little bit of resistance, because nobody knew who she was, and I said, ‘Guys, just let her audition,’ and she came in and auditioned and everybody was in tears.

“And the thing about Patty Guggenheim is that she’s able to play these ridiculous characters with so much grounding, and these characters who maybe don’t appear very smart with so much intelligence.

“Um, so I kind of have been waiting for this moment to launch Patty for many, many years, and so it’s like, ‘Okay, the rest of the world has caught up. Now let’s please give her her own movie.'”

I want this.  Make it happen, Kevin Feige!

Would you like to see Madisynn in her own movie?
