The Ezra Miller saga keeps getting more disturbing. New allegations have emerged, this time from Miller’s longtime musical collaborator, Oliver Ignatius. Working closely with Miller, Ignatius had access behind the curtain, and some of what he (allegedly) witnessed is truly horrific.
More Disturbing Allegations
In June, Chase Iron Eyes and Sara Jumping Eagle filed court documents accusing Miller of brainwashing and manipulating their daughter* Tokata Iron Eyes, who was 12 when they first met Miller. (*Tokata now goes by the name Gibson and identifies as nonbinary, however, their parents still use their birth/dead name and she/her pronouns.)
Ignatius states that he observed inappropriate behavior between Miller and Tokata/Gibson including them “sloppily” kissing when Tokata/Gibson was still a minor.
Miller’s first disturbing incident that went viral was a video of them attacking a woman in a bar in Iceland. Nothing came of that legally. But it seems they were up to a lot of bad stuff in Iceland. Like forming a cult.
Several women involved have come forward with even more accusations, describing their living situation to a commune. It was stated that those staying there were completely “enamored” of Miller, despite his frequent emotional outbursts.
According to one:
“Nobody ever was kind of allowed to disagree with them. Their reality painted everybody else’s reality. There was no room for anybody else’s opinion or feelings.”
Another woman describes an incident in which Miller chose her to stay in their private room before spending six days abusing her.
“Ezra basically said: ‘My room is your room. This is now where you’re going to stay.’ At one moment they would look me in the eye and be like, ‘I love you’ and be this really nice, beautiful person. [Next they would] tell me that I was f***ing disgusting.
“There was a lot of psychological abuse…This hostile demon just took over.”
She also reported that Miller was interested in her “breeding capabilities.”
And along the lines of the Tokata Iron Eyes situation, another woman accuses Miller of trying to groom her 11-year-old child. Among the methods Miller used was attempting to get the mother to drink their blood.
It was revealed that Miller was paranoid and he believed he was being followed by the FBI or Ku Klux Klan. He would frequently travel with a bulletproof vest and multiple guns. (It was previously reported that Miller’s Vermont farm is also fully stocked with an arsenal of weapons.)
The Fate Of Erza Miller And His Movies With Warner Bros
Ezra Miller is a star of two of Warner Bros.’s biggest franchises, the DC Universe and Fantastic Beasts. Many have wondered what would become of them or at least Miller’s involvement since these allegations started emerging in 2018. Warner Bros.’s new chief David Zaslav has made it a point of streamlining the DC franchise and has been slashing various projects including the Batgirl movie, which had already been filmed and was in postproduction.
It would seem logical that with Miller’s problematic behavior The Flash would also be shelved. But Zaslav has stated that this movie, directed by Andy Muschietti, is “terrific.” The studio still plans to release it, although it keeps getting delayed.
As far as Fantastic Beasts, WB initially committed to a five-picture series, but these movies are not scoring Harry Potter numbers. Each one makes less money than the last. I didn’t see the last one (because The Crimes of Grindelwald was so boring), but I’ve heard that it could be a decent finale. With Zaslav cutting the fat, maybe it’s time to halt this very expensive but mediocre franchise.
Warner Bros. still has not commented on Miller’s behavior, nor are they required to. These allegations concern their personal life and not these professional projects. But they have to be aware that Miller’s personal life WILL negatively impact these projects. It seems they’re still trying to figure out how to approach this, which explains The Flash‘s constant postponements.
