‘Cocaine Bear’ Actor Ray Liotta Dead At 67

We are sad to report that legend of the silver screen Ray Liotta has passed away at the far too young age of 67. Deadline reports that he passed in his sleep while in the Dominican Republic where he was filming his upcoming project Dangerous Waters with Saffron Burrows, Odeya Rush, and Eric Dane. No cause of death has been released at of the time of this writing.

Liotta first appeared on the screen in several minor television roles on shows like St. Elsewhere and Casablanca before making his first film appearance in The Lonely Lady (1983). He caught his big break with the one-two punch of Field Of Dreams (1989) and Goodfellas (1990). Both films went on to become some of the most iconic films in the history of cinema.

More recently, Ray Liotta had completed filming on Cocaine Bear with director Elizabeth Banks and planned to star opposite Demi Moore and Margaret Qualley in The Substance soon after. He was recently featured in high-profile projects like Warner Bros’. The Many Saints Of Newark (2021), No Sudden Move (2021), and Marriage Story (2019).

Other career highlights for Ray Liotta include Hannibal (2001), Identity (2003), Smokin’ Aces (2006), Sin City: A Dame To Kill For (2014), and Hubie Halloween (2020). He also voiced the lead player character and protagonist Tommy Vercetti in Rockstar Games’ iconic 1980s period-piece sandbox gangster-adventure Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (2002).

Ray Liotta leaves behind a daughter, Karsen Liotta, and his fiance Jacy Nittolo. His talent will be greatly missed.
