Warner Bros. has released the new teaser trailer for the upcoming film DC League of Super-Pets, which takes a close look at the respective canine sidekicks of Batman and Superman. This time, Batman is the focus in the trailer. However, you may be transported out of Metropolis and back into the Matrix, if you have a good ear.
Keanu Is The One
Many fans had their wish granted as Warner Bros. finally revealed that none other than Keanu Reeves portrays Batman in the animated film. You may recall, Reeves was offered the role of the Caped Crusader after Michael Keaton decided not to return for Joel Schumacher’s Batman Forever. Ultimately, the role went to Val Kilmer who became the next Dark Knight.
Reeves has said he regrets turning the role down. Although, voicing Batman may be a bit of a consolation to both the actor and fans (albeit only slightly as we’d all love to see him as the superhero in a live-action movie).

In ‘DC League of Super-Pets,’ Krypto the Super-Dog and Superman are inseparable best friends, sharing the same superpowers and fighting crime in Metropolis side by side. When Superman and the rest of the Justice League are kidnapped, Krypto must convince a rag-tag shelter pack—Ace the hound, PB the potbellied pig, Merton the turtle, and Chip the squirrel—to master their own newfound powers and help him rescue the superheroes.
Alongside Keanu Reeves are the voices of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as Krypto the Super-Dog, Kevin Hart as Ace the Bat-Hound, John Krasinski as Superman, Vanessa Bayer as PB the Potbellied Pig, Natasha Lyonne as Merton the Turtle, Diego Luna as Chip the Squirrel, and Marc Maron as Marc Maron.
DC League of Super-Pets is directed by Jared Stern (The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part) from a script he co-wrote with Sam Levine (The Princess and the Frog). The film is set to drop in theaters on May 20, 2022.
