If you are a fan of The Expanse, you may be happy to hear that you may not have seen all of the recent sixth and final season. There are 25 additional minutes of footage, but to see them, you have to watch on a phone, PC, or table and hit pause.

Viewers need to pause each episode and access Amazon’s X-Ray service. The five bonus vignettes are accessible under “Bonus Content.” And you can “View All.”

This information was provided by the writers of the series on Twitter:

Unfortunately, these bonus scenes are only accessible on mobile devices for now and can’t be accessed on a TV through Firestick, Roku, etc.

The new vignettes don’t necessarily fill in all the gaps that some felt were there when the series ended. These are also basically “deleted scenes” so they aren’t essential viewing.

However, according to The Expanse‘s showrunner Daniel Abraham:

“They are in order and connected to the narrative, so watch them in order.

“The X-Ray [is] something we’ve been talking about doing for years, and we finally got to a place where we have the resources and time to get it done.  They’re small little character moments that create an extra scene with some depth to flesh out the mainline story. It’s very much like the novels where we had the little novellas on the side where we could give you things that weren’t critical to the main line, but could make the story a little richer and deeper.

“They have little touchstones to the main line, and little touchstones to each other, just to spend that extra moment.”

So if you are a fan of this series, which has now concluded, there may be a few remaining morsels to savor.

Have you seen these bonus clips from The Expanse?  If so, what did you think?
