We already knew that Thor: Love and Thunder was going to introduce Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) as the new female Thor or The Mighty Thor. This is a storyline ripped right from the comic books, as Jane operated as The Mighty Thor for several years, with this version of the character proving to be a huge hit with readers leading to Marvel producing many action figures, statues, posters, and other licensed goods bearing her likeness.
Now it appears that some key art has leaked revealing what Portman’s armored suit will look like. Not only that, but Chris Hemsworth’s new Thor costume has also been revealed.

It appears that Jane will be wielding the original Mjolnir which was shattered by Hela in Thor: Ragnarok. Somehow, it will be molded back together.
Portman’s costume is mostly red, with black leggings and silver armored pieces. In this image, it looks like Portman will keep her famous brown hair instead of emulating the comic book’s blonde tresses.
Speaking of hair, Hemsworth’s Thor is still rocking long locks the way he was depicted in Avengers: Endgame, not the shorter do he sported in Ragnarok. His new suit is mostly bright blue and gold with a red cape. In this illustration, it looks especially vivid and bears a resemblance to the outfits worn by the Eternals in their film. That makes sense, as both films are based on characters designed by Jack Kirby.
Taika Waititi returns to direct Thor: Love and Thunder based on a script he wrote with Jennifer Kaytin Robinson. In addition to Hemsworth and Portman, the cast also includes Waititi as Korg, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, Christian Bale as Gorr the God Butcher, and Jaimie Alexander as Lady Sif, as well as the Guardians of the Galaxy: Chris Pratt as Star-Lord, Pom Klementieff as Mantis, Dave Bautista as Drax the Destroyer, Karen Gillan as Nebula, Sean Gunn as Kraglin, and Vin Diesel as the voice of Groot (no confirmation on Bradley Cooper yet), plus Jeff Goldblum as the Grand Master. Russell Crowe will make a cameo as Zeus.
Thor: Love and Thunder opens on July 8, 2022, in theaters only.
