The Geek Anything Holiday Gift Guide 2021: Part 3

Holiday Gift Guide 2021Happy Holidays from the team at Geek Anything! It doesn’t matter which holidays you’re celebrating this year, so much as it matters that you’re celebrating them with all of your favorite people. And, of course, it really matters that you’ve found them all the perfect gift to celebrate with!

As we bring 2021 to a close, we spent the last few weeks putting our heads together to compile the Geek Anything Holiday Gift Guide: 2021 Edition! While it’s a little late in the game to be shopping for gift giving at this point, we really wanted to bring you the most comprehensive gift guide possible. On the bright side, even if you miss the deadline for receiving your gift in time for the holidays, plenty of these items would make great “late arrival” gifts, or maybe give you ideas of what to spend all those gift cards you receive yourself on!

Previously in Part 1 of our Holiday Gift Guide, we brought you some of our favorite stocking stuffers and home goods! Then in Part 2, we brought you a jam-packed list of action figures plus some neat vinyl collectibles from Funko! Now for this third and final chapter, we are pulling out all of the stops to bring you our favorite games, statues, prop replicas, and some other cool high-end items that could make or break your holiday season! Check out Part 3 of our Holiday Gift Guide after the jump!

Games

In recent years, board games have had a massive resurgence in popularity that has brought them back to the forefront of entertainment. It helps that companies have learned how to get more creative with their releases and started producing games based around fan-favorite films and other corners of popular culture rather than relying on the brand names of the classics to keep selling.

While there are always going to be those who slap some branding onto the timeless classics, like Ghostbusters Monopoly and Ghostbusters Clue, Godzilla Monopoly, or an Elvira themed Ouija Board, there are also some true gems out there these days that take gaming to a whole new level by creating new kinds of fun that fit the theming of the brands they are supposed to encapsulate.Board Games

One of our favorites from last year is Back To The Future: Back In Time from Funko Games, which puts you in the shoes of Doc, Marty, Einstein, and Jennifer, as they set out in 1955 to carry out the general plot of the movie! When reading the instructions it sounds super complicated like there is a lot to do, but after each player has a turn or two it becomes super easy to keep track of and ultimately a really fun way to spend a couple of hours (or minutes, depending on how good you’re doing when you play). Funko games also has some really fun themed games like Godzilla: Tokyo Clash and Gremlins Holiday Havoc!

Also while we’re talking gaming, I can’t help but be weirdly excited that they brought back vintage Tiger Electronics Handheld games this year, including the Jurassic Park game. I lost countless hours playing that when I was a kid.Board Games

One of the coolest returns to the board game scene comes in the form of Hasbro’s Hero Quest! This is a massive tabletop RPG that most gamers will recognize instantly. This isn’t the first time the game has been relaunched or rebooted, and it certainly won’t be the last. This is the most recent iteration of this cult classic board game series, and it already has two expansions available with Kellar’s Keep and The Return Of The Witch Lord!

Replicas

When it comes time to buy gifts for your favorite nerdy people, you almost certainly can’t go wrong with a prop replica from their favorite live-action films. While Star Wars has consistently been a brand to look at, thanks to items like their Star Wars The Black Series Rey Skywalker Force FX Elite Lightsaber, the introduction of so many live-action comic book adaptations in recent years has opened up several doors and led to a nearly endless supply of cool new prop replicas that fans are dying to get their hands on.

Fans of the caped crusader and his companions will be thrilled to see that NECA has gotten back into the prop replica game with some items based on the Dark Knight himself! For fans of the classic 1989 Batman film from director Tim Burton, there are replicas of both a Batarang and the Grapnel Launcher! NECA has also released a replica of Nightwing’s Escrima Stick from the Batman: Arkham Knight video game that is a must-have for fans of the original sidekick Dick Grayson!Prop Replicas

Marvel fans also have plenty to add to their wishlists this year with the Marvel Legends line of replicas always growing. Some of the coolest new pieces that Hasbro is offering this year include Thor’s new hammer Stormbreaker, Doctor Strange’s Eye Of Agamotto, and Tony Stark’s Nano Infinity Gauntlet from Avengers: Endgame! To top things off there is also a special Entertainment Earth exclusive collectors set from Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings that lets you bring Shaun’s necklace and one of the titular Ten Tings of Power into your home!Replica Helmets

There is also always the tried and true mindset of “when in doubt, go with a helmet” for prop fans! While Marvel fans will undoubtedly be thrilled to bring home the Iron Spider helmet, it’s Star Wars fans who win out in this category with newly released replicas of The Mandalorian’s Helmet, Luke Skywalker’s X-Wing Helmet, or either a Classic or Re-Armored Boba Fett Helmet!

Statues

While many collectors prefer their characters having a bit of articulation in the form of action figures, there are still plenty of us out there that appreciate a well-posed and expertly sculpted static figure in the form of a statue.

Nightmare Before Christmas Statues

As we are suggesting holiday gifts, why not consider a few that manage to celebrate two holidays at once with some of these beautiful The Nightmare Before Christmas statues! Few stories capture the magic of both Christmas and Halloween in the way this movie manages to encapsulate both of them at once. It also doesn’t hurt that it also gives us a timeless love story, which is captured flawlessly in pieces by both Diamond Select Toys with their Milestones Jack and Sally Statue, and by Enesco with their Disney Traditions Jack and Sally Moonlit Dance Statue. If those are a little out of your price range you also could go with one of Diamond Select Toys Gallery PVC Statues of Jack, which are available in options including a classic Skeleton King Jack and ‘What’s This?’ Jack!Statues

Diamond Select Toys has a pretty broad selection of pieces in the previously mentioned Gallery PVC line of statues that are priced pretty reasonably and made out of sturdy PVC material that isn’t fragile and won’t break the way a lot of high-end pieces might! They’ve got a great variety of licenses to choose from in this line like Predator, Mortal Kombat, G.I. Joe, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, and Marvel heroes like Captain America (which has versions based on both Steve Rogers and Sam Wilson!).

High End

Okay so these last few are some items that are a little more on the expensive side, but they are too cool NOT to list them, so we’ve decided to compile them here just in case you need something really amazing to wow that special someone.

Since we were just talking about statues, it doesn’t feel right to skip over a few of the coolest pieces on the market just because of their price point! Like the Legends In 3D 1:2 Mighty Morphin Red Power Ranger from Diamond Select Toys, or their recent Premiere Collection 1:7 Scale Statue of The Crow. Their Marvel Premiere Collection also continues with an all-new Deadpool piece based on the already iconic opening scene from the heroes’ live-action film.

There are some equally entertaining diorama pieces that we wouldn’t want you to miss.  Factory Entertainment has a stunning Jurassic Park Gates Environment Statue that recreates the iconic gates of the dinosaur theme park from the 1993 film in magnificent detail including light-up torches that flicker! The team at Kotobukiya also released this adorable Battle of Endor The Little Rebels Artist Series ARTFX Statue based on the third act of Star Wars Episode VI: Return Of The Jedi! This piece gives us the Ewoks as they wreak havoc against the Empire and take down an AT-ST.High End

For those who want to venture to the final frontier in the biggest way possible, look no further than Playmobil’s extraordinary super-sized Starship Enterprise Playset from the original Star Trek series! This thing is massive and comes fully loaded with a Bridge Crew and Display Stand so that you can boldly go in style!

Last but far from least, quite possibly the weirdest thing you could surprise someone with for the holidays is this Gremlins Flasher Gremlin Stunt Puppet from NECA! This life-sized prop replica is based on one of the original Stunt Puppet molds from Gremlins 2: The New Batch and includes a trench coat and a pair of sunglasses for added effect.

And with that, we bring Part 3 of The Geek Anything Holiday Gift Guide 2021 to a close! Be sure to double back to Part 1 and Part 2  of our Holiday Gift Guide if you somehow missed those the first time around! There are plenty of gifts out there to choose from besides the ones shown here, but we hope you found our guide helpful! Whether you’re shopping for family, friends, coworkers, or even just something for yourself, we’re wishing you a great holiday season from the team at Geek Anything!lease Note: If you purchase any of the cool new items featured in this article, we may earn a small commission from this retailer. We thank you for your support but mostly just love showing you all this cool stuff we enjoy talking about!
