It’s the debate in comic shops across the country: “Who would win in a fight?” Fans have pitted characters from competing companies as long as there have been comics. Of course, many of those theoretical battles are waged between characters from the Big Two, DC and Marvel. But what about the companies themselves? Who wins in the battle between them, and how do you judge them? Who has better characters? Tells better stories? Better art? Better Sales? Avengers: Endgame directors, the Russo Brothers, bring their storytelling expertise to the argument with a 10-part documentary series titled Slugfest, being made available on the Roku Channel.
The series drops on the streamer on Christmas Eve, December 24. Comics fanboy and film director Kevin Smith, who has written for both companies, narrates the series. The docuseries was originally produced for the Quibi service back in 2019, which shut down before it could launch there.

Each episode explores a different chapter of the long and complicated history between the two biggest comic rivals. From the beginning of superhero history through the fight at cineplexes around the world, DC and Marvel have been competing for your hearts and dollars for many years.
