Warner Brothers’ high-profile Dune is less than two months away from release so the promotional efforts are ramping up. Most recently, three short feature videos have been released, showcasing the movie’s three main villains — Baron Vladimir Harkonnen (Stellan Skarsgård), Glossu “The Beast” Rabban (Dave Bautista), and Piter De Vries (David Dastmalchian).
Baron Harkonnen is regarded as one of the most sinister masterminds in fiction, while “The Beast” is regarded for his sheer brutality. Piter is a “human computer” or Mentat that serves the Baron.
Here’s a little more in-depth information about Baron Harkonnen from the character’s official description from the film: “[He is] a force of malevolence, determined to feed his addiction to brutality. A gravity-defying monster of a man, gliding through the air like a phantom, the imposing figurehead of House Harkonnen ensures his family stands in stark opposition to House Atreides, ruling through fear, and determined to exploit the natural resources of Dune no matter the cost to its people.”

“As animalistic and savage as his given name implies, the “Beast” Rabban is the towering enforcer and nephew of the sadistic Baron Harkonnen. Tasked with securing the Baron’s empire by any means necessary, he is a brutal force of nature, prone to explosive and petulant bouts of rage. Of those that cross him, few live.”
