Netflix has released a schedule for the first annual WitcherCon, a virtual celebration of the streamer’s hit series as well as the video games that partially inspired it. There will be two streams– one at 1 pm EST on Friday, July 9, and one at 9 pm EST on the same day. The second will not be 100% original, as there will be a few repeats from the first stream.
Due to COVID-19, a lot of established cons went virtual last year and many are remaining virtual this year. There have also been a few new virtual cons as content creators have opted to present news and updates directly to fans. But I believe that this is the first such event dedicated to just one property.
As you will see below, fans can look forward to appearances by cast members Anya Chalotra (Yennefer), Freya Allan (Ciri), Henry Cavill (Geralt), Mimî M. Khayisa (Fringilla Vigo), and Paul Bullion (Lambert), plus showrunners Lauren Schmidt Hissrich and Declan De Barra. (No Joey Batey? BOOOOOOO!!!)
