Playmobil is boldly going where no toy company has gone before with their all-new Star Trek U.S.S. Enterprise playset!

This is the first release in what we can only hope will be an expansive new line from Playmobil featuring the Star Trek license. The U.S.S. Enterprise playset is quite massive, measuring 42-inches long and 18-inches wide when completely assembled.

Star Trek fans will be able to open up the top of the main saucer portion of the Enterprise to find a full Enterprise bridge playset based on the original 1966 series design! The main body of the ship will also open up where you’ll find the engineering room.

The Playmobil U.S.S. Enterprise will include several mini-figures from the original Star Trek series for you to enjoy alongside these accessible parts of the ship, including Captain Kirk, Mr. Spock, Uhura, Dr. McCoy, Sulu, and Chekov. The ship also features electronic lights and sounds that are controlled through a free smartphone application for your convenience! Playmobil notes that there are also some “other accessories and electronic surprises” we can look forward to.

To top things off, Playmobil has included a special display cradle that will make it easy to set the ship up for ceiling suspension for display in your collection.

Where’s Captain Kirk? Why he’s on the bridge of the Playmobil 70548 Star Trek U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 Playset! It includes a display cradle, plus wire for ceiling suspension if that’s your preferred means of display. Kirk, Mr. Spock, Lt. Sulu, and of course Chief Engineer Montgomery “Scott” Scotty.

That’s a lot of fun in one big box!

The saucer section of the Enterprise opens up to show a full 1966-style bridge play environment. What’s more, the body of the ship opens up on the side to show you an engineering room.
