It promises to be the Man of Steel as you have never seen him before in My Adventures with Superman. The animated series stars Jack Quaid as Clark Kent and Superman. It has gotten a two-season order for streamer HBO Max and cable network Cartoon Network.

My Adventures with Superman is produced by Warner Bros. Animation with Sam Register as executive producer. Jake Wyatt and Brendan Clogher serve as co-executive producers and Josie Campbell as co-producer.

My Adventures with Superman follows the early days for Clark. The series will be a new take on the early days of Superman/Clark Kent as he comes to Metropolis and begins to work as a reporter for the Daily Planet. There, he will meet the young driven reporter Lois Lane. (Voiced by Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist‘s Alice Lee.) Lois is just growing into becoming a star investigative journalist. She also takes aspiring photographer Jimmy Olsen under her wing. Along with pal Jimmy Olsen, the three will discover who they are and what they can be as a team for the Daily Planet.

In addition, we will watch as Clark builds his secret Superman identity and embraces his role as the hero of Metropolis – and perhaps the world. All the while, Clark and Lois are falling in love, sharing adventures, taking down bad guys, stumbling over secrets, and discovering what it means to be Superman and Lois Lane.

From the early look at the art, the series will have a strong anime influence, with romance, humor, and action playing important roles in the narrative. “It’s been a great partnership working with Cartoon Network and HBO Max to bring more DC Super Heroes to the platform in new and creatively interesting ways,” said Sam Register, President of Warner Bros. Animation and Cartoon Network Studios. “This is the first animated Superman series in many years and we want to tell our Superman story through the trio of Clark, Lois, and Jimmy – whose relationship dynamic will allow for rich, serialized, and engaging stories as we explore their lives as individuals and their journey together as friends.”

Along with My Adventures With Superman, WarnerMedia announced a new Batman animated series, Batman: Caped Crusader series.
