After three wonderful seasons on Disney XD, Big Hero 6: The Series is preparing to hang up its super-suit for good.

The animated spin-off television series of the Academy Award-winning Disney film of the same name is preparing to end following the Season 3 finale later this month. The final episode of Big Hero 6: The Series is scheduled to premiere on Disney XD in its usual Monday night timeslot on February 15th, 2021. The series has had strong ratings throughout its three-season run on the Disney XD channel, but is heading off into the sunset in order to lay the groundwork for yet another spinoff simply titled Baymax. That series will follow the loveable robot of the same name and be streamed over on Disney+.

The Emmy-nominated animated series’ last episode will be split into two parts; “Krei-oke Night / The Mascot Upshot.” The first half of the story has Krei recruiting the Big Hero 6 crew to help launch the latest of his all-new inventions, a karaoke machine! The second half of the finale sees The Mascots adding a new member to their family, which gives Hiro just the chance he needs to defeat them for good (and as this is a series finale, it is entirely possible he will succeed)!

While Big Hero 6: The Series will be concluding its run of new episodes, the show will continue to air in syndication on Disney Channels all around the world for the foreseeable future. Both Season 1 and Season 2 of the show are currently available for streaming on the Disney+ subscription service, with Season 3 expected to be added to the platform once it finishes its original broadcast run.

Big Hero 6: The Series spun-off from the Disney animated film of the same name. The film itself was very loosely based on the Marvel Comics property of the same name and is currently the only non-MCU Marvel film produced by Disney.

The show follows the continued adventures of Hiro Hamada (Ryan Potter), a teen genius who leads the high-tech superhero team Big Hero 6. The team is made up of Hiro’s friends Wasabi No-Ginger (Khary Payton), Go Go (Jamie Chung), Honey Lemon (Genesis Rodriguez), Fred (Brooks Wheelan), and Hiro’s super-advanced robot Baymax (Scott Adsit). Throughout their journey, the Big Hero 6 team protects the city of San Fransokyo from superpowered villains while trying to get through day-to-day life as young heroes.

Big Hero 6: The Series will air its series finale on Monday, February 15, at 7:30 p.m. ET/PT. Be sure to tune in to say your goodbyes to Hiro and the gang!
