Over a quarter of a century after its release, Batman Forever is still divisive among the Dark Knight Detective’s fanbase. Love it or hate it, there is really something about that film that has a certain charm and style that has never truly been replicated since. Now, over twenty-five years later, we are finally getting quite possibly the best looking Batman Forever collectibles that we have ever seen.
The team at Hot Toys recently released new images and solicitation information for their all-new 1/6 scale Batman and Robin figures from Batman Forever, which is the third film in the Batman Anthology that began with Tim Burton‘s Batman (1989) and followed by Batman Returns (1992). For this third film in the series, director Joel Schumacher stepped in and the titular role of Batman was recast with Val Kilmer replacing Michael Keaton.
The story saw Batman gaining his first partner in crime-fighting, Robin, as the dynamic duo take on the double threat of Two-Face and The Riddler. The film was drastically different from what came before it, introducing lots of bright colors in place of Tim Burton’s darker gothic tone. Schumacher wanted to bring back the campiness of the 1960’s Batman television series for a modern era, which sums up this film entirely.
The new Hot Toys Batman Forever figures of Batman and Robin are based on the pair’s looks in the third act of the film. Batman is wearing his Sonar Suit which features attachable sonar lenses and a likeness of Val Kilmer (unfortunately we are not getting an unmasked Val Kilmer head to go with this figure though). Batman comes packed with a number of interchangeable alternative hands, a Bat Clamp Launcher, a Batarang Launcher, a Batarang (which means sense because, you know, the launcher), an underwater thruster, and a specially designed figure stand.
Robin in the meantime is a little less stacked than Batman, although he is impressive nonetheless. The new Batman Forever Robin figure features a likeness of actor Chris O’Donnell (again, no unmasked head though) and includes a number of interchangeable alternative hands and a specially designed figure stand.
Both of these new Batman Forever figures stand around 12″ tall and feature over 30-points of articulation. Batman is set to be priced at $255 while Robin will be priced at $245, making them quite the pricey duo to add to your collection! These figures are expected to be released sometime in late spring 2022.

The movie-accurate collectible figure is meticulously crafted based on the appearance of Batman, featuring a newly developed masked head sculpt with separate rolling eyeballs design; skillfully tailored Sonar Batsuit and cape; detailed recreations of Batman’s gadgets and weapons including Sonic Batarang, underwater thruster, Batarang launcher, Bat clamp launcher, a pair of Bat Sonar lenses; and a figure base.

Like Bruce Wayne, young Dick Grayson witnessed the murder of his parents and swore to dedicate himself to bringing the criminals to justice. Under the strong wing of Batman, Dick managed to set aside his bitterness and thirst for revenge, turning them into a passion for righting wrongs, battling evil, and eventually becoming Batman’s trusted crime-fighting partner, Robin. When one of them is in danger, the other is sure to help find a way out of it!
Inspired by the movie Batman Forever, Hot Toys is thrilled today to present the much-anticipated 1/6th scale Robin collectible figure.
The highly-accurate figure is specially crafted based on the image of Robin, featuring a newly developed head sculpt with stunning likeness perfectly translating the details including the face mask, a specialized body portraying his muscular body, detail recreation of Robin’s iconic costume with a “R” logo with a subtle metallic shimmer, also a figure base for display.
