Marvel Studio’s Phase 4 has officially kicked off with the release of WandaVision on Disney+, and the next installments of this phase in the cinematic universe are well underway. Filming for the Doctor Strange sequel, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness began filming in November, and Spider-Man 3 began filming in Atlanta back in October. As is the case, location set photos from the Spider-Man filming have leaked and they may point to the introduction of a ‘brand new’ villain.

Reddit user JustDandyMayo shared a photo yesterday of a box truck parked outside of a warehouse. By itself, the image is innocuous, but the lettering on the truck is intriguing. Besides the faded letters spelling “Forest Hills Moving Co,” a clear reference to Peter Parker’s home neighborhood of Forest Hills, Queens, the truck also has a logo for an organization called F.E.A.S.T..

As comic fans know, F.E.A.S.T., which stands for Food, Emergency Aid, Shelter, and Training, is a non-profit organization that Peter Parker’s Aunt May volunteers for. The organization is run by a man named Martin Li, who is very attentive to Aunt May and treats her with kindness and respect. Though Li seems like an ally to Spider-Man at first, he’s later revealed to be a crime boss known as Mister Negative and possesses superhuman strength and agility. Mister Negative can also harness Darkforce energy, using it in deadly ways and can corrupt people with just a touch. The character first appeared in the “Brand New Day” storyline which retconned Spider-Man’s history so that he was no longer married to Mary Jane and Harry Osborn never died, among other changes.

Though this new image is exciting, it’s pure speculation that it indicates Martin Li will appear in the new film, let alone a villain like Mister Negative. Although, it could be possible. Considering neither Vulture nor Mysterio, the main antagonists in the two previous Spider-Man movies, have been used in live action before, maybe Marvel Studios is going to the deep well of characters at their disposal to find a baddie for Spider-Man to fight. I wouldn’t put it past them to do something like that.

Either way, we’ll find out soon enough. Spider-Man 3 is set to hit theaters in December 2021, and I’m sure these next ten months will just fly by.
