After what seems like an eternity of waiting, kaiju fans around the world will be pleased to hear that the first trailer for Godzilla Vs. Kong has finally been released!
The new trailer gives us our first real look at the upcoming cinematic battle of the century featuring two of the greatest monsters in the history of film the world over in an all-out brawl to see who is truly the king of the monsters. This film is the latest in the Monsterverse series from Legendary Pictures following Godzilla (2014), Kong: Skull Island (2017), and Godzilla: King Of The Monsters (2019).
Godzilla Vs. Kong sees our two titular monsters, Godzilla and King Kong, in a gigantic fight with one another for dominance. This film was first teased in the post-credits scene in Kong: Skull Island and marks the first time that these two legends have shared the screen in over half a century.

Legendary Pictures Godzilla Vs Kong comes from director Adam Wingard (You’re Next, The VHS franchise) and sees the return of Millie Bobby Brown (Stranger Things, Enola Holmes) and Kyle Chandler (Super 8), and Zhang Ziyi (The Cloverfield Paradox) from Godzilla: King Of The Monsters. These few returning Monsterverse actors are joined by plenty of newcomers to the franchise including Alexander Skarsgard (The Stand), Rebecca Hall (Iron Man 3), Brian Tyree Henry (Joker), Shun Oguri (Harlock: Space Pirate), Eiza Gonzalez (Alita: Battle Angel), Julian DeDennison (Deadpool 2), Lance Reddick (John Wick), and Demian Bichir (Alien: Covenant).
While the film was originally set to release in 2020, Warner Bros. pushed back the release date due to the ongoing global pandemic. Following the announcement that they would be releasing their entire 2021 theatrical slate on the HBO Max streaming service at no additional cost, Godzilla Vs Kong is now set to release both in theaters and on HBO Max on March 26th, 2021.
