We hope you have got some room in your display case because Todd McFarlane has just announced that McFarlane Toys is going beyond – Batman Beyond that is!
Just over two decades ago, the world was introduced to an all-new era of The Dark Knight with the DC Comics animated series Batman Beyond. The show was a completely original work set as a sequel to the iconic Batman: The Animated Series from the early ’90s and was generally well-received by fans. The story takes place roughly forty years after the events of the first series and tells the story of an aged Bruce Wayne mentoring Terry McGinnis as a new generation’s Batman.
In an all-new video posted on his Facebook Page, legendary comic artist and toymaker Todd McFarlane revealed plans for an all-new Batman Beyond sub-line of figures that will be released as part of their popular DC Multiverse line.
The DC Multiverse line of 7″ scale figures launched in 2020 and had been widely praised by fans of DC Comics characters. The line is packed with a healthy variety of DC Comics heroes and villains from every era of DC Comics history.
Now McFarlane Toys is sprinkling in some all-new figures from the future of the DC Universe with four brand new Batman Beyond themed characters! Rather than all at once, McFarlane is spreading out their release over the course of the year with one new Batman Beyond era figure releasing every two months starting in March 2021.
Figures included in the line include Batman Beyond himself, as well as arguably his most iconic villain, Blight. We are also getting the first-ever figures of Shriek and Batwoman Beyond! To top it all off, each of these figures will include a Build-A-Figure piece to complete a fifth bonus figure of the Joker Bot if you collect them all!
A release schedule for these new DC Multiverse Batman Beyond figures is detailed below.
