Streaming service Hulu is looking to set out and search for one of the most legendary cryptids of all time in their newest original documentary series, which is simply titled Sasquatch.

The new three-part documentary series is the latest in a recent effort by Hulu to bulk up on original documentary content. Already ordered to production, Sasquatch is coming from Hulu in a collaboration with brothers Mark and Jay Duplass along with director Joshua Rofé.

The Sasquatch documentary series is set to kick off later this spring and will investigate the rumors behind a strange triple homicide that happened a quarter of a century ago and was supposedly committed by none other than Bigfoot! While this still seems like it will leave a lot up to speculation, it certainly sounds like a premise worth following.

Mark and Jay Duplass have become quite the producing pair in recent years with a number of high profile documentary projects to their credit. Recent projects include Wild Wild Country, On Tour With Asperger’s Are Us, and Evil Genius for Netflix, and HBO’s The Lady And The Dale, which is set to premiere on January 31, 2021.

Sasquatch will be directed by Joshua Rofé, who recently directed Lorena for Amazon, which was a documentary series about the Lorena Bobbitt case. Rofé is also executive producing the series along with Mark Duplass, Jay Duplass, and Mel Eslyn of Duplass Brothers Productions. Steven Berger of Number 19, David Holthouse, Zach Cregger, and M. Elizabeth Hughes are also producing.

Hulu seems to be on a big documentary series kick lately with a number of new projects either recently released or announced as in development. In just the last year, we saw the release of a number of original documentaries and limited documentary series including 69: The Saga Of Danny Hernandez, I Am Greta, Taste The Nation With Padma Lakshmi, and Hillary. Sasquatch is just one of several new projects we can look forward to in 2021 from the service, with other upcoming documentaries heading our way including Planet Sex, Kid90, and a currently untitled documentary about the WeWork service.

Are you excited to check out Sasquatch on Hulu later this year? Would you be interested in seeing more cryptozoological documentary series on the streaming service? If so, what cryptids would you want to see? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below and be sure to stick around for all of the latest Hulu updates!
