Spider-Man has one of the most iconic suits in all of comics and next year, he’ll get a brand-new costume to add to his wardrobe.
Over the years, there have been occasional changes in the web-slinger’s look. Of course, in 1984 Peter Parker received a brand new all-black costume during the Secret Wars… and we all know where that led. Other costumes include the Iron Spider suit, given to Peter by Tony Stark during the Civil War event (in Amazing Spiderman #529). He also had the Spider-Armor, which Peter made to fight the New Enforcers. Spidey also received a suit from the Future Foundation after Johnny Storm’s death, a white suit with black details first seen in Fantastic Four #579. Its design matched the rest of the FF team. It was made of unstable molecules so it also had the ability to look like any of the costumes Peter had worn over the years.
Of course, none of this includes the multitude of costumes worn by Peter Parker using other superhero identities (Dusk, Richochet, etc), nor costumes worn by alternate Peters on alternate Earths, like the Noir Spider-man or the Spider-man of 1602. And of course, there are the other heroes who have used his moniker: Miles Morales, Ben Riley, and Miguel O’Hara, to name a few.
Marvel made the news of the new costume, designed by Dustin Weaver, this past week in a press release.
