We may only be a few weeks out from the release of Wandavision on Disney+ but that doesn’t mean there isn’t any more buzz surrounding it. During the Marvel Studios block of tonight’s Disney investors call, Kevin Feige talked a little bit about the upcoming series, as well as shared a new trailer.

Clearly Wanda and Vision take center stage in the trippy trailer, but we also get a look at Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau. Monica is the daughter of Maria Rambeau, who we met in 2019’s Captain Marvel. It’s unclear how Monica Rambeau factors into the plot of Wandavision, or even what’s going on. The scenes are reminiscent of different periods of television, from the Bewitched style of the 1960s, straight through to the big hair and legwarmers of the 1980s. Despite the questions the trailer left me with, I for sure cannot wait to find out the answers.

In addition to the new trailer, Feige confirmed that the series will tie into the upcoming film, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, stating that Elizabeth Olsen is currently on set filming alongside Benedict Cumberbatch, Benedict Wong, and Rachel McAdams. Feige also announced that the film will feature America Chavez, who will be played by Xochitl Gomez. The sequel to the 2016 film, Doctor Strange, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will play a huge role in Phase Four of the MCU and is also expected to tie in closely with the upcoming Spider-Man sequel.

Wandavision will debut on Disney+ on January 15, 2021.
